The Youth Action Team recently completed a photojournalism project that had them documenting the neighborhoods in which they live.  With a donation from Kodak, the youth had 9 one-time use cameras at their disposal.  We spent 2 days traveling to different sections of the city, which allowed the youth to incorporate a wide variety of Rochester into their photography.  The youth took fantastic pictures!  Kodak donated their services again when they agreed to develop and enlarge 8 photographs.  The youth poured over their photos, narrowing the dozens they took down to 8.  These enlarged photographs were on display at a community gallery/presentation called “Picture Perfect: Rochester,” which was held on April 29th.   Numerous individuals from a variety of community-serving agencies, including PathStone, the Community Place, and NeighborWorks Rochester,  came to support the youth and view their remarkable photography; the gallery was a tremendous success!
